Benefits of Visiting a Walk-In Clinic in Milton

A walk-in clinic can be a practical option when you have an appropriate non-emergency concern and cannot wait for a scheduled primary-care appointment. Understanding what walk-in care offers—and its limits—helps patients choose the right setting.
No appointment is required
Walk-in care allows patients to visit during physician hours without arranging an appointment in advance. TrueCare also offers online booking for patients who prefer to reserve a time. Patient volume and clinical needs can affect how quickly patients are seen.
Extended hours
Evening and weekend availability can help families and working patients access care outside traditional office hours. TrueCare Medical Centre is open seven days a week, with extended evening hours on most days. Hours may change slightly with physician availability, so calling before travelling is recommended.
Assessment for many non-emergency concerns
Walk-in physicians may assess common illnesses, minor infections, skin concerns and appropriate minor injuries. They may also provide guidance about testing, prescriptions and follow-up based on clinical assessment. Not every service or procedure is available at every visit.
Convenient services in one location
TrueCare offers free parking and wheelchair-accessible entry. Eligible TrueCare patients may use the on-site laboratory, and TrueCare Pharmacy is located in the same facility. Patients may choose any pharmacy for their prescriptions.
A pathway to additional care
After assessment, a physician may recommend follow-up, testing or a referral when appropriate. Patients seeking ongoing primary care can also review TrueCare’s new-patient registration information. Registration and physician availability may change as capacity is reached.
Knowing when not to use a walk-in clinic
Walk-in clinics are not emergency departments. Symptoms such as severe difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, severe chest pain, major trauma, uncontrolled bleeding or loss of consciousness require emergency assistance.
